Just watched the Senate vote for cloture on the healthcare amendment – and David Gergen on CNN declare it “tragic” to see “major social legislation” move forward without a bipartisan supermajority. Please remind me the last time Gergen (et al) spared a moment for the tragedy of thousands of Americans dying needlessly for lack of health insurance.
